Quizzes: How to Export Quiz Questions and Categories

      1. Locate to the Administration block from the main course page.
      2. Expand the Question bank drop-down menu under Course administration.
      3. Click Export
        export
      4. The Export questions to file page will appear.
      5. Under File format, select XHTML format.

      6. Under General, select the quiz bank category to export.
      7. Click the Export questions to file
      8. A pop-up window will appear and will ask what the browser should do with the files. Select Open with and choose your default browser. The exported questions will then appear in the default browser. You can copy and paste the questions into a Word document for distribution.

        If a pop-up window does not appear, there will be a link provided with a click here option that will prompt the download.


The exported question bank displays all questions in the correct format, but the correct answer choices are NOT provided.
