Authentication Types

To change your email address in your profile, check with your institution regarding the authentication method. A manual authentication method is required to update your email address in your Moodle profile. If you do not have a manual authentication type, you will need to contact your institution’s IT department to request an update to your profile information.

Updating the Email Address in Your Profile

  1. Log in to the Moodle portal
  2. Locate your name on the top right hand corner, and from the dropdown box, select Profile.

  3. Click Edit Profile.
  4. Locate the Email address field:

  5. Delete the email address within the textbox and type in the new address.

  6. Click the Update profile button to save your new email address.
