Entering Feedback Directly into the Grader Report
- Select the Grades link in the Navigation block.
- The Grader report opens. This report shows all student grades awarded in a course, as well as the final grade. Student names appear in the left-hand column, and grades appear to the right.
- Click the grade cell of the student and forum for which you would like to provide feedback.
- You should see two boxes appear; one has a solid outline, while the other has a dotted outline. The solid line box is for the actual grade; any grade that was assessed by rating the forum posts will display here and can be overridden (we recommend always grading at the activity level). The dotted line box is for feedback; you can type your private feedback to the student’s forum post(s) here. Press Enter when you are finished typing.
Alternate Steps for Text Editing Options
- Select the Grades link in the Navigation block.
- Click Turn editing on in the top-right corner of the grader report.
- An edit icon will appear in each grade cell; click the edit icon in the grade cell of the student and forum for which you would like to provide feedback.
- There is a text box titled Feedback towards the bottom of this page; you can type your feedback here.
- Click Save changes to save your entry.
