If an assignment has cutoff date, a student or a group of students will be unable to submit after the cutoff date has passed. In order for a student or a group to submit after a cutoff date, the instructor must grant an extension or override the assignment due date in Moodle.
There are two ways to grant an extension in Moodle:
Granting Extensions
- Navigate to the assignment in Moodle. Once there, select View All Submissions.
- Select Edit next to the student or group to be granted the extension. Select Grant Extension.
- Check Enable and select an extension due date from the drop down, then click Save Changes. The student has been granted an extension until the specified date.
