Your cache is a place where information is stored, which helps websites load faster. Cookies are small pieces of information that store website customization. You may quickly fix many common browser-related problems, such as sign-in problems and slow- or non-loading webpages, by clearing your cookies and cache.
Internet Explorer 8
1. Select Tools > Internet Options.
2. Click on the General tab and then the Delete… button.
3. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.
Internet Explorer 9 and 10
1. Select Tools > Safety > Delete browsing history…
2. Uncheck Preserve Favorites website data and check both Temporary Internet Files and Cookies then click Delete.
3. You will receive a confirmation pop-up at the bottom of the window once the deletion is complete.
Mozilla Firefox
1. Click the Firefox menu and go to History > Clear Recent History…
2. Click the drop-down box to the right of Time range to clear and select Everything.
3. Click on Details and check both Cookies and Cache.
4. Click on Clear Now.
Google Chrome 20+
1. Click on the three-bar icon to the right of the address bar and select History.
2. Click Clear browsing data…
3. Click the drop-down box to the right of Obliterate the following items from: and select the beginning of time. Check Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data and Empty the cache.
4. Click Clear browsing data.
Opera 9+
1. Click on Tools > Delete Private Data…
2. Click on Detailed Options to show the rest of the options. Make sure only the following are checked:
a. Delete temporary cookies
b. Delete all cookies
c. Delete entire cache
3. Click the Delete button.
Safari 5
1. Click on Tools (the gear icon) > Reset Safari…
2. Check Empty the cache and Remove all cookies, then click on Reset.
